Theater of the Sea in Islamorada, Florida is a great place to see marine life in the Keys. The facility is home to dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, parrots, sharks, rays, alligators, fish, and probably more that I am forgetting! I always find it fun to watch the shows and spend time around the animals. I personally enjoy bringing my camera and taking photos of the animals, especially photos of the animals with their trainers. The landscaping and atmosphere is my kind of vibe. 😎
The shows include a dolphin show, sea lion show, parrot show, sea turtle talk/feeding, fish/shark/ray feeding, alligator training session, and bottomless boat ride through the dolphin lagoon.
When you first arrive, you can take a picture of the show schedule or view it on the park’s website. You start your day at the show/presentation that is happening next. You then work your way around the park, moving from show to show.
Theater of the Sea offers interaction programs with pretty much all the animals in the park, or you can just observe the animals from a distance. All of these photos were taken during shows and presentations.
Needless to say, Theater of the Sea is a great place to get up-close with and learn about marine life. I hope you get the opportunity to visit this facility the next time you are in the Keys!
